How long does Resurfx last?

ResurFX™ Pre-Treatment Care
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2–4 weeks before treatment.
- Apply daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen.
- Stop using retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acid, or other exfoliants 5–7 days prior.
- Avoid chemical peels, waxing, or other laser treatments for 2 weeks before.
- If you have a history of cold sores, notify your provider — antiviral medication may be recommended.
- Come to your appointment with clean skin (no makeup, lotions, or oils).
ResurFX™ Post-Treatment Care
- Mild redness, swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation is normal for 24–48 hours.
- Apply cool compresses as needed for comfort — never ice directly on the skin.
- Avoid direct sun exposure; wear SPF 30+ and reapply frequently.
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer; avoid retinoids, acids, or Vitamin C for at least 1 week.
- Do not pick, rub, or exfoliate the treated area.
- Avoid exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24–48 hours.
- Makeup may be applied after 24 hours if skin is not irritated.
